On July 14th we will welcome our newest members as we celebrate 40 years of land conservation in our region.
This annual event is a great way to learn more about Southern Oregon Land Conservancy and to get to know other supporters, staff, and board members. Enjoy a hike through the conserved Jacksonville Woodlands led by historian Larry Smith followed by a yummy brunch, under the shade trees, behind the Beekman House.
Directions to event location and other details will be emailed upon registration.
Feel free to call our office for assistance, to check your membership status, or to become a new member: 541-482-3069

If you ever peer into a half-rotted log you might be so lucky to find a slippery pair of eyes staring back at you. If you’re extremely lucky those eyes could belong to a Pacific giant salamander (Dicamptodon tenebrosus). Usually seen wriggling through woody debris or eating a mildly toxic banana slug, these marbled beauties are found throughout western Oregon.
