Southern Oregon Land Conservancy is hosting a Free Nature Pub Talk titled, “Snakes: Natural History and Conservation” on Wednesday, March 25, from 6pm to 7:30pm at Art Bop Beer Co in Talent (102 Talent Avenue). The goal of the Nature Pub Talk Series is to foster connections to the local natural world.
Snakes are a critical part of the community but are highly underappreciated and misunderstood. While they perform important natural services like rodent control, snake populations continue to decline worldwide. Join us for a pub talk at Art Bop Beer Co in Talent to celebrate everything about snakes. Experts will discuss the natural history of snakes, share stories about local species, and highlight conservation issues. Speakers: Dr. Michael Parker, SOU Emeritus Professor of Biology, and Jason Reilly, Bureau of Land Manangement Wildlife Biologist.
Free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Registration is not necessary, but early arrival is highly recommended. Visitors to Art Bop can enjoy local artists, award-winning beers, handcrafted sodas, hot teas, and freshly crafted Art Bop Lagers while enjoying their European style food menu in addition to an array of snacks. Outside food from local restaurants and food trucks is allowed, but no outside beverages please. For more information, please call 541-482-3069 or email info@landconserve.org.
