The Southern Oregon Land Conservancy (SOLC) is excited to announce a community science initiative where volunteers can band together to observe and record the immense diversity of winged creatures in our region while building community. 

On Tuesday, December 16th from 4 to 6pm, we are inviting interested volunteers to attend a congregation of birders to discuss SOLC’s Volunteer Bird Surveyors Program at the SOLC office in Ashland. Please come, enjoy refreshments, baked goodies, and share your bird highlight of the year. Afterwards we will dive into how to sign up for monthly surveys at Rogue River Preserve, SOLC’s bird surveying protocol, and safety protocol while visiting the Rogue River Preserve.
