Hike guide Tara Laidlaw

Guided 1.5 mile loop: In the morning, SOLC’s Education Program Manager Tara Laidlaw will lead a hike along the Gnatcatcher Loop trail, a mostly-flat 1.5-mile loop that offers a fantastic overview of many of the Preserve’s special habitats, interesting features, and conservation projects.

Hike guide Liz Landreth

Guided plants and people hike: In the afternoon, volunteer docent and naturalist Liz Landreth will lead a walk focusing on fall plants and ethnobotany. Liz will tell stories about how plants adapt to this unique environment, and how the Native American peoples used and still use this season to harvest the bounty of the Rogue Valley to sustain them.

As much as we love our furry friends at SOLC, pets are not allowed. SOLC does make exceptions for ADA service animals. Companion animals, however, are not allowed.
