Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day serving our community and stewarding the land at Oredson-Todd Woods! We will be caring for this conserved public park by removing invasive blackberry and mulching trails. This volunteer work party is a collaborative effort by the Ashland Parks Division, Southern Oregon Land Conservancy, The Crest, and United Communities AmeriCorps.
Register with The Crest for directions, and a reminder email.
If you ever peer into a half-rotted log you might be so lucky to find a slippery pair of eyes staring back at you. If you’re extremely lucky those eyes could belong to a Pacific giant salamander (Dicamptodon tenebrosus). Usually seen wriggling through woody debris or eating a mildly toxic banana slug, these marbled beauties are found throughout western Oregon.
