Butterflies at Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument: MEMBERS ONLY

REGISTRATION will open on May 23rd at 6am.

Learn from Linda Kappen how to safely catch and identify butterflies on a privately conserved property on the Siskiyou Summit called Sky King Cole and on the adjacent Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. This event is perfect for beginners; kids welcome.

Linda Kappan hosts a butterfly garden at Applegate Elementary School and shares her enthusiasm and knowledge of butterflies with her students and local groups. She will guide everyone on easy short walks, stopping at butterfly-rich spots on Pilot Rock Road.

This hike is reserved for members of SOLC. Call us if you're not sure you're a current member, or to become a member make a donation today.

Meeting Location: Carpool from Ashland. Contact us for alternative carpooling options for local residents.
Difficulty: Easy slow-paced short walks on generally flat ground on roads, trails and off-trail.
