Support healthy wildlife habitat, join us for a stewardship day along Williams Creek!
Since 2003, SOLC has owned and cared for this peaceful 30-acre floodplain forest near the town of Williams.
We're hosting a volunteer work party and we'd love for you to join us! Come spend a morning at the beautiful Williams Creek Reserve where we will be stewarding the land for wildlife and healthy plant communities. Plus, we'll share snacks and learn some facts as we work on this protected property. Tasks include removing blackberry and planting native trees.
We’ll provide tools, gloves and snacks. Please feel free to bring your favorite gloves if you have some.

If you ever peer into a half-rotted log you might be so lucky to find a slippery pair of eyes staring back at you. If you’re extremely lucky those eyes could belong to a Pacific giant salamander (Dicamptodon tenebrosus). Usually seen wriggling through woody debris or eating a mildly toxic banana slug, these marbled beauties are found throughout western Oregon.
