Landmark and Life members of the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy are invited to a special outing on Saturday, September 30 at a property in the Colestin Valley just north of Hilt, CA.
Join us for our work party as the new landowners of the stunning 352-acre Rogue River Preserve.
Bird a privately protected property and nearby federal lands on Howard Prairie with two excellent birders and naturalists. The group may see Great Gray Owl, White-headed Woodpecker, and migrating birds.
Here’s a chance for families to explore the Preserve. Bring your little ones and let them discover the wonders of nature. There will be a guided activity as well as lunch by the river. Some walking and lots of exploring.
Join Randy Frick, retired USFS Fish Biologist, on a walk to where Chinook salmon are seen spawning in the fall. There will be other wildlife sightings during the walk and along the river.
