Expert birder and naturalist, Dennis Vroman, will lead an exploration of the beautiful bird life in the conserved Jacksonville Woodlands near the Britt Festival Grounds. We’ll bird a number of habitats including mixed evergreen forest and oak woodland. The federally listed Gentner’s fritillary may be in bloom.
Learn about this iconic rock while hiking 3 miles roundtrip. A BLM Interpreter will share information at stops along the way up to the top. Interpretation includes geology - the formation of the Table Rocks, conservation, history, and the flora and fauna found alongside the trail.

This is a four-mile hike through Jacksonville’s Historic Rich Gulch Mining District and descent into French Gulch to view a reestablished hydraulic mining display and water cannon.
