Williams Creek Riparian Reserve

Williams Creek flowing through Southern Oregon Land Conservancy property

In September 2003, the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy acquired this property in partnership with the Williams Creek Watershed Council and the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.  The 30 acres encompass an intact riparian forest along Williams Creek, a feature that is extremely rare in the Applegate River Watershed. This complex and rich riparian area provides important habitat for Chinook salmon, steelhead trout, Pacific lamprey, and many wildlife and bird species. The Land Conservancy manages this property to enhance the habitat for stream-loving critters.
