Kristi Mergenthaler

Kristi has worked as a botanist for over eight years, surveying for rare plants, collecting native plant seeds, and conducting vegetation studies in Southwest Oregon. During this time she has also taught numerous natural history classes and led wildflower hikes and youth backpacking trips.

Su Rolle

Su Rolle
Conservation Manager

Su retired from the U.S. Forest Service after a 25-year career, having served as the District Ranger for the Applegate Ranger District in the Rogue River National Forest.  Active in the Rogue Valley for over 30 years, Su served on the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy's Board of Directors in the early 1980's and was instrumental in the Oredson-Todd Woods acquisition and other early projects.

Alex Liston Dykema

Alex is a graduate of Brown University's Environmental Studies program and Lewis and Clark's Northwestern School of Law and has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1994. A former Board member and Executive Director of the Land Conservancy, Alex works from his home in Ohio.

Leslie joined the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy in October 2005, bringing with her over twenty years experience in non-profit administration in the Rogue Valley.

Diane Garcia

Executive Director

Diane has lived in the Rogue Valley since 1973. Her background is in nonprofit management, real estate, and environmental protection. She holds an M.B.A. from Oregon State University with a focus on Social Marketing. She has been with the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy since 2003.

Michael Stringer

Michael Stringer, Development Director
Development Director

Michael joined the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy in 2008 after earning his Master's Degree in Environmental Management from Duke University.  He has extensive environmental outreach experience ranging from Nashville, Tennessee to southeast Alaska.
