Land Trusts in Oregon

Land Trusts in Oregon

Today, there are 1,700 land trusts in the United States that have more than 100,000 volunteers and 2 million members. So far, land trusts have conserved 37 million acres of land in America - an area roughly the size of all the New England states combined (ref: lta.org).

The Southern Oregon Land Conservancy is one of fifteen land trusts that serve Oregon exclusively.  We regularly collaborate with the other land trusts through the Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts (COLT).

We are Southern Oregon's Local Land Trust

Since 1978, the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy has been working with landowners and communities to save this region's special places for today, tomorrow, and beyond.

In our 30+ year history, we have conserved many places that protect our clean drinking water, safe places for children to play, working farms and ranches, and our beautiful landscape.
