Kara currently serves as vice-president of the Oregon Wine Board, board member for the Greater Applegate Community Development Corporation and the Three Rivers District Schools Foundation as well as being an active member of the Southern Oregon Winery Association, Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association and the Applegate Valley Vintners Association.

Occupation: Managing Director of the Change Management Group.  John specializes in organizational assessments and restructuring, executive evaluation and development and change management. John also served as Director of Human Resources for the J. Paul Getty Trust and Chairman of the Management and Human Resources Department at California State Polytechnic University.

Occupation: Retired lumber products business owner. Steve has served as Chair of United Way, chair of the Yreka City Planning Commission, President of Rotary and as a Board member of United Scholarships, Inc.

Occupation: Hearings Officer, Jackson County. Donald was a founder of the Land Trust Exchange, now the Land Trust Alliance. He also helped found  the Marin Agricultural Land Trust and served as the Western Regional Counsel for The Nature Conservancy.

Occupation: Retired Insurance Company Executive.
Bill has served on the Board since 2002. He came to Southern Oregon from the Bay area where he was a founding board member of First American Title Company.

Lands Committee Chair

Occupation: Farmer/rancher. Dan has lived in Gold Hill since he was two year old on a family ranch he manages. He's been a Board member since 1994 anc chairs the Lands Committee.

Occupation: Retired environmental chemist. Donna worked with American Rivers and Environmental Defense on water quality issues affecting the Missouri and Platte Rivers and serves on two committees addressing water quality issues for the City of Ashland.

Occupation: Jackson County Land Use Planner. Charles has served on the Board since 2003 and has been active with the Ashland Conservation Commission, Greenpeace and Patagonia.

Occupation: Land use planner and geography professor at Southern Oregon University. Pat served in local government as a council member on the Ashland City Council as well as on the Mt. Ashland and Ashland Hospital Boards.

Occupation: Organizational consultant; retired national BLM conflict resolution consultant. Rich is active with the Ashland School District and with City of Ashland workforce housing issues and consults with many local and national organizations and agencies on organizational development.

Occupation: Real Estate Broker. Sam has served as President of the Southern Oregon Historical Society Foundation, the Southern Oregon Humane Society, the Phoenix-Talent Education Association and the Rogue Valley Art Association. He currently is a member of the Ashland Historic Commissions.

Southern Oregon Land Conservancy Board member Tom Atzet Tom Atzet

Occupation: Retired Forest Service Ecologist.  Tom was an ecologist for 29 years in Southwestern Oregon for the Siskiyou, Rogue River and Umpqua National Forests. Much of his work focused on northwest forest ecosystem dynamics and forest species. Tom is also a noted author with many publications to his credit on such topics as fire ecology and plant associations in northwest forests.
